Logo of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)Our presbytery's Confirmation Weekends are designed to provide an intensive study and/or review of what it means to be a person of faith and a fully active member within the Reformed branch of the larger Church. Most importantly it is designed to prepare youths to make their own public profession of faith. However, it is also important to us to ensure that when they are finished our youths will also understand how our churches are governed and how we live as faithful Christians in the Twenty-First Century.

The weekend is structured around six sessions:

We mix these study sessions together with field trips, games, and lots of food. The weekend ends with a worship service designed and led by the confirmands. Parents are encouraged to attend this worship service and enjoy lunch with all the participants before adjournment.

There is no charge for a Confirmation Weekend for youths from churches in the Presbytery of Southeastern Illinois.
